Two more people have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to police.
A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.
These detentions follow a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.
Police detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Police were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several people injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.
The attack - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
