Amazing $30 Map-Making Humble Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop Game Master's Fantasy

Following a brief run back in April, this cartography software collection has returned with an encore that lasts through early December. Hailed as an extensive collection of mapping tools developed by ProFantasy Software over the years, the complete package is valued at more than thirteen hundred dollars. And there are three different bundles available here.

Primary Feature

The standout feature is certainly permanent access for Campaign Cartographer 3+, an industry-standard cartography program which enables users to create everything from fantasy overworld maps, smaller regional maps, urban layouts, and, perhaps most importantly, tactical combat environments.

Package Levels

Basic Package

The most affordable option, at a minimum cost of $1, features merely four of the 39 total items: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Monster Token Pack 1, Source Maps: Castles!, and Source Maps: Cities!. This one's only for cartographers who already have CC3+, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for landscape mapping, more than 750 monster tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, over twenty-five aerial castle designs including hundreds of map markers, eight fully mapped cities, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Mid-Range Option

The eight-product collection for at least $15 is where things get more interesting through inclusion of a lifetime CC3+ license, the first Annual volume, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. The Annual represents the annual collection from the company's long-running monthly subscription service which includes a variety CC3+ add-ons like map collections and additional utilities. The Isometric Cities enables present urban areas in 3D perspective using angled views from all sides. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome comprises 760 pages suitable for novices and experts, full of tips and tutorials for the map-making process.

All 17 volumes of Cartographer's Annual come with this bundle, plus numerous other resource and asset packs enabling creators to design entire planets or galaxies, or focus exclusively on traditional fantasy world-building: battle maps, dungeons, cities, and continents from almost any perspective. Users can also create character portraits. For $30 as opposed to $15, the full bundle offers tremendous value, particularly for mappers who have only the annual CC3+ license seeking permanent licensing. But it's obviously an even better deal for map-making newbies since it includes the beginners' tutorials to facilitate learning. The sole limitation is that while the purchase is available across platforms, the software is only usable on Windows.

Charitable Component

As with other Humble Bundles, part of every purchase goes to benefit a nonprofit. For this one, the beneficiary is Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb focused on improving the lives of children worldwide via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response.
