In a unexpected collaboration that defies conventional expectations, the game developer has revealed an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Revealed
According to the official release, "A strange confrontation draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of prohibited practices and fearsome transformations echo through the obscurity." The narrative presents a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a clandestine cult.
The mission centers on "peculiar tests and a monstrous foe" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Changes
The teaser highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer finishes with a dramatic scene showing a character, probably the captive, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
